Day 01 - Arrival in Chennai or Madras
Arrival in Madras and drive to Mahabalipuram, check in at the Hotel.

Day 02 - Full day tour of Mahabalipuram & Kanchipuram
Checkout Kanchipuram (64 kms from Madras) is the ancient capital of the Pallavas
famous as a city of 1000 Temples and still has 124 shrines. The first temple
dedicated to Shiva was built in the 7th and 8th century and has paintings on the
walls. Temples of Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi, and Varadarajaswamy
are of interest. Kanchipuram is also famous for its silks.
The city of Mahabalipuram is famous for the seven pagodas. Here on the seashore
is an interesting group of ancient rock hewn temples, which are the examples of
Dravidian style of Architecture and has exquisite rock cut monuments, monolithic
structures and bas-reliefs, overnight at the Hotel.

Day 03: Drive to Pondicherry
On arrival check in at Hotel Ashok, The capital of French India before
independence, Pondicherry traces its origin to Saint Agasthya, the revered sage
of the south & excavations near-by reveal that a Roman settlement existed here
2000 years ago. It was the theatre of many a battle between the British.

Day 04: Sight seeing at Pondicherry
Relaxed day with local sightseeing at Pondicherry, Overnight stay at Hotel

Day 05: Drive to Trichy
On Arrival, check in at Hotel Jenney's Residency, Afternoon tour of Trichy,
which was the citadel of the Chola dynasty in the medieval period. In the 18th
century, it witnessed the Carnatic wars fought between the French and the
English. Lord Robert Clive's house is still there to see and so is the Danish
Church. The Rock-Fort is the landmark of Trichy. A climb of 434 steps leads to
the ancient temple of Ganapati on top and a further climb to a Shiva temple,
Overnight in Trichy.

Day 06: Morning drive to Madurai visiting Tanjore enroute
At Tanjore, the beautiful Chola Temple of Brihadeshwara is capped by a
monolithic cupola made of a single granite block weighing 80 tons, which was
taken to the top with the help of a 6 km long ramp, an old technique used by the
Egyptians for building pyramids. Its bronzes and handicrafts make Tanjore one of
the highlights of a visit to South India. Overnight Madurai at Hotel Madura

Day 07: Visit Meenakshi Temple
Morning visit the great Meenakshi Temple dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva
with its towering Gopurams (rising high above the surrounding countryside).
Later, visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace - A gracious building in the Indo
saracenic style, famous for the Stuccowork on its domes & arches. Also, visit
the Alagar Hills and Tirupara Kundran Rock temple, Afternoon free, overnight
stay in Madurai.

Day 08:- Day trip to Kanyakumari
Surrounded by Majestic Hills and the plains bordered by colorful sea-shores,
fringed with coconut trees and paddy fields, here and there are few elevated
patches of red cliffs with undulating valleys and plains between the mountainous
terrain and the sea - coast, so closely interwoven with Temples and Churches and
other edifices lies the district, 'Kanyakumari'. (The district name is spelled
as ' Kanyakumari ' in official records, which is in tune with the spoken name of
the district in Tamil language). Overnight at Kanyakumari

Day 09: Drive to Kovalam
Kovalam: Located 16 km south of Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) city, Kovalam is
one of the most beautiful and famous beaches world-famous beach resort, which
has been a favorite spot for tourists since 1930s. This beach has lovely coconut
palms fringe the golden sands. Kovalam is the best place for relaxation. It has
three different beaches of which the Lighthouse beach is the most famous beach.
Ayurvedic treatment is another attraction of Kovalam.

Day 10: Relaxed day at Kovalam

Day 11: Drive to Kumarakom, check in at Hotel .Evening boat cruise on backwater
to witness sunset.

Day 12: Kumarakom
Kumarakom is the loveliest Village in Kerala, blessed with nature's rare gifts
is on the Eastern side of the vast Vembanad Lake. The lake provides facilities
for boating, yachting, fishing, surf riding, & swimming. Ideal picnic spot
accessible by boat from here is Pathiramanal (Midnight Sands) a lonely island in
the lake. Cruise along the backwaters enjoying the bracing climate & green magic
of nature.

Day 13: Drive to Alleppey, check in at the moving Houseboat. The luxury
Houseboat takes you on a 5 hour backwater cruise.
