The Nubra valley lies in the north of Leh and is accessible
over the Khardungla pass 5600 Mtrs. Which is one of the
highest motorable roads in the world. The Nubra valley has
opened for Foreign tourists in 1994 by the Govt. of India to
Expand tourist activities in Ladakh region.
The valley is on the trade route Leh to Khangar via Samsar
Karakoram Pass. Apart from unparallel trekking opportunities.
The valley have several Buddhist Gompas Diskit Gompa is 350
years old and is situated on the highest point near the
village in which there are about 120 resident Buddhist Monks.
Nubra valley is also known for its double humped bacterian
camels. The camels are led in the forest to graze during
summer and brought back during winter season.

Day 01 : Leh Diskit 118 Kms.
Drive passing through Gangles villages the road then rises to
reach Khardongla pass (5600 Mtrs) the worlds highest
motorable road. The road then passes through a bridge laid on
Glacier which finds its way in Guinness Book of world records.
In the afternoon visit Diskit monastery which is 515 years old
situated on a hill top giving panoramic view of the valley and
evening walk around town of Diskit, overnight at Guest House /
Tents.

Day 02 : Diskit Panamic Diskit 44 Kms.
Morning half day visit to panamic hot sulphur spring and on
the way back visit Samstalling and Sumur monastery. Return
back to the Hotel. Afternoon half day tour of Hunder,
overnight at Guest House / Tents.

Day 03 : Diskit Leh.
Leave the place in the morning and continue drive to Leh via
Khardongla Pass. Check in as per further program.

Day 01 : Leh Chumathang Tsomoriri (240 Kms).
leave in the morning and drive to Chumathang stop at Upshi for
passport checking. From here the road turns towards left and
reach Karu. Chumathang is famous for medical hot spring and
people visit to this place for medical bath and visit
Chumathang monastery. From here a short drive upto Maha bridge
the main checking point to enter to this new area. From here
the road is rough. On the way visit Sumdah village and another
55 Kms drive will take you to Tsomo riri. The lake is breeding
grounds for numerous species of birds. Chief among them are
the bar headed goose, found in great numbers, crested grebe,
the Brahmin duck (ruddy sheldrake) and the brown headed gull.
The lake is 8 Kms. Wide and 28 Kms. Long, overnight in Tents.

Day 02 : Tsomoriri.
In the morning visit Korzok village with its houses and its
Gompa appearing like a mirage. The few barley fields at Korzok
must be among the highest cultivation in the world. In the
afternoon visit around the lake, dinner and overnight in
Tents.

Day 03 : Korzok Puga Tsokar Tanglangla Leh (245 Kms).
Drive to Mahe village and the road turns left from here
towards Puga Valley. The valley is an unforgettable scene of
shooting fountain and white clouds hanging upon. Thie is Butan
gas for which Puga valley is famous. Continue drive to Tsokar
via Polokongka pass (13500 ft.) and visit Tsokar (small lake)
and one can also visit Thugke Gompa. The place is famous for
wild asses are generally seen here grazing and they seem
moving in flocks. From here short drive and reach on National
Highway route (Leh Manali). Continue drive towards Leh via
Tanglangla pass (5350 Mtrs.) which is the second highest
motorable pass in the world, arrive Leh in the evening.

Drokhpa area is along the Indus between Khalatse and the
Shayok Indus confluence, live people, known as Drokhpa
belongs to the purest of pure from Aryan race. They are tall,
handsome and hospitable. Drokhpas are believed to have
migrated to this area via Gilgit around 1000 year ago from
Central Asia. They are different with large, beautiful eyes,
sharp acquiline noses. They are culturally distinct from the
rest of the Ladakhis.the greatest attraction in this area are
the villages of Biama and Dah. The route follows the Indus
down from Khalatse, past the villages of Domkhar, Skurbuchan
and Achinathang, along a fairly good road. In the gorge of the
Indus the suns heat, reflected off bare rocks and cliffs is
frequently intense. The same heat makes it possible to take
two crops every year from the fields. Fruits is also grown
aircots and apples. The special interest of this region is
less the landscape than its Drokhpa inhabitants, their
features are pure Indo Aryan, and they appear to have
preserved their racial purity down the centuries.

Day 01 : Leh Biama Dah (160 Kms)
Leaving Leh and drive on the national highway route upto
Khaltse which is the main passport checking point to this
area. From here it is about 66 Kms drive and on the way we
visit and stop at some interesting villages of this region.
Finally, we reach Biama in the afternoon. Camp at Biama which
is the beautiful place for the camping. Afternoon a short
drive to Dah to see the real Aryan village. It is quite
interesting to spend some time with the inhabitants of this
region. In the evening return back to the camp.

Day 02 : Biama Leh.
One can visit again early in the morning to Dah to enjoy the
life of these peole wearing colorful and metallic ear rings.
Return to the Camp and leave for Leh. One can visit Lamayuru
and Alchi monastery also.
